AATF celebrates Dr. (Mrs.) Rose Suniso Maxwell Gidado, an award-winning Industrial Microbiologist who hails from Asamawa State of Nigeria.

She is currently the Deputy Director at the National Biotechnology Development Agency(NABDA) Abuja Nigeria.

Fondly referred to as “Mama OFAB”, Rose Maxwell Gidado began her journey as a Research Assistant, and it fanned her flame to solve the food crisis faced in her home country bought on by Famine and changing weather elements brought on by climate change.

She is a well-published author with writings across the globe, from policy briefs to scientific commentary and articles in reputable journals at the national and international level.

We celebrate her work in facilitating and mobilizing funds for Biotechnology and Biosafety awareness at both local, national and international levels, and for spearheading the acceptance of Biotechnology as an alternate means to secure Africa’s food basket.
